Original kettle base (code 00498392) is an accessory that offers a practical and safe solution for placing your kettle. It primarily serves to protect the kitchen countertop or other surface from the effects of high temperature, moisture and any possible dripping from the kettle.
This original part is designed to create a stable and heat-insulating barrier between the hot bottom of the kettle and the worktop. It prevents unwanted heat transfer that could damage sensitive surfaces (e.g. laminate, wood, engineered stone). At the same time it increases the overall stability of the kettle during use.
The base is a suitable accessory especially where you want to extend the life of your kitchen worktop or preserve its aesthetic appearance. It is simple to use – place the kettle directly on it.
This base is compatible with a range of kettles. For the correct selection, it is important to verify that the dimensions and shape of the base suit your kettle. You can find a list of compatible appliances further down the page.

A genuine BSH part number always has 8 digits and usually starts with 00, 1 or 2.
Examples: 00611332, 17007585, 20007165Plastic and metal components often carry a mould number, material number or another production marking. It may not be the order number. The same marking may be used on several different spare parts.
It may be a mould number, material number or production marking stamped directly on the component. We are gradually adding these numbers to our search.

A model range such as MUM 4, MUM 5, EQ.6, EQ.8, EcoSilence, Serie 6, Serie 7, iQ500 or iQ700 is unfortunately not a unique appliance identifier.
A complete E-Nr. includes a service index with a slash before the final two characters. For example: B1WTV3000A/01, WAN20030IX/34 or KIV22470/01.
Even a different service index may mean a different appliance version and different compatibility for some parts.
You can also search using an incomplete E-Nr. Without the complete marking, however, we cannot guarantee full certainty of product compatibility.
